exercise 2

John looked deep into Mary's eyes as if manually trying to tell her brain to agree.
"You don't understand Mary she is just a friend from work I swear!" Mary looked to the ground older her arms crossed. Looking up John catches a glimpse of a tear running down her cheek.
"Please Mary don't cry, don't cry please!" She stood still and mumbled,
"What is her name?"
"What?" John asked with a slight chirp in his voice.
"What is her name!" Mary now yelling, her arms no longer crossed but with a finger pointing strait at his face.
"Her name is Janice, she is a co-worker I swear." Mary reaches into her bag and pulls out a garment.
"Well tell Janice she left he underwear in our bed." She threw the pair of panties at John's face and stormed out of the apartment.

map journal

I found a map of minnesota and pointed to crookston.

Walking into the restaurant I felt an instant urge to leave. The surrounding crowd of usuals sitting at the bar glared with open eyes like saying "Why the hell is this city boy here?" without even opening their mouths. I sat down at a booth and took a look at the menu. Glaring down at the chipped wobbly table I slid my finger down the face to reveal a thin layer of dust coating the surface. "Can I get you somethin' sir?" the waitress rudely stated as he jaw bounced endlessly snapping her gum. "Some coffee would be fine. I'm kind of in a hurry and just needed to use the restroom and stretch my legs." She replied with a nod and turned away. I found it time to use the restroom. Returning from the grimy disgusting bathroom I found the restaurant empty. Not a single person inside. I walked out of the restaurant to see an out of business sign. I stepped back into my car and left very disturbed and confused.

Exercise 2

Dave put the leash on his dog Skip like he does every day at 6pm and strutted out of the door into the evening. getting over the hill he took the right turn into the wooded trail like usual. The sun usually doesn't set for another hour or so so he knew he had time to make the loop in the woods and make it back home. Clouds began to gather and it suddenly became dark. Dave didn't like the dark nor did Skip so they turned around to head back home but found themselves dumbfounded by darkness. The trail was gone. Surrounded by bent distorted looking trees they made their way through the woodland into a backyard. It was his backyard, only different. the lights were on and he had turned them off. A figure walked past a window and Dave became enraged believing that his house was being robbed. He slammed through the back door to find himself staring into his own face. The man in his house was him.

unsuccessful painter

Trickles of light dance on the floor through the ripped blankets hanging over the windows. Empty canvases littler the walls and ground mocking the man who can not paint them. the paint brushes sit in the twisted brown colored water in the bottom of a plastic bucket. Shades of orange, blue, green, and yellow vibrantly sit splattered on the walls. The sharp light reveals a figure in the corner of the room standing motionless looking into the crevasse of the wall waiting for inspiration that will never come.

A spring morning suicidal

The dew falls in blankets upon the lawn
as the sunlight peers over the distance
Silence surrounding a man called John
pistol in hand contemplating existence
damaged goods and a broken heart
kept him from falling in love again
the life he once knew is now falling apart
in the breathtaking view of his "rocky mountain"
the sun rises a little more to shine upon his face
almost to tell him every things all right
a solemn tear trickles from it's place
He feels he no longer has to fight
The suns almost up now he thinks in his head
The time has come and it feels so right.
He now realizes he is better off dead
raising the gun to him temple and mumbles "good night"

Hell Date (Her pers.)

Walking into the restaurant I could believe I was on another blind date. Guys seem to tell me they like me and the false security kicks in. After one night of fun they want out of my life faster than a bullet out of a gun. I need a nice guy who likes me for who I am. My thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a large muscular man talking to the host. No way! I thought. Sindy hooked me up with a hunk! He walked toward me and without missing a step sat next to the girl at the table behind me. I envied that girl. Skinny, big boobs, small waist and legs that go on for decades.
“Hello Miss? You wouldn’t happen to be Bri would you? I have been walking around this restaurant for like ten minutes trying to find this blind date.” He was tall and and had the physique of an athlete with the cutest smile. Not the usual type of man Sindy finds.
Ha ha, yes I’m Bri. I take it you are Cody?” I said with a chuckle. His blue shirt matched his eyes and I found myself drawn to his smile.
“Waiter! I’m ready to order! SIR! OVER HERE!” He yelled across the room. Okay so he is a little obnoxious, nothing I cant handle , right? Just as long as he doesn’t order food for me.
“I will have a Miller Light please, the New York strip with a side order of shrimp cocktail and a baked potato. The woman here will have a side garden salad with no dressing and a water. Thank you goodbye.” A salad? Like I need a salad. I’m starving and this jerk orders me a salad, not to mention all he has said so far is that he is hungry.
Grinding his food into mush he rambles on about how he is going to be a hockey player and that his buddies are dicks and that he needs a girl in his life.
“Okay Cody slow it down. No one wants to pull out a Heimlich maneuver tonight. So what kind of girls do you usually date?”
“Well for the last month I have been on and off with these two girls Sandy and Alicia. Those girls are crazy! Sandy would call me non-stop asking where I was and I’m like hey…I’m at Donny’s CUT ME SOME SLACK! Alicia is my girl. Never calls doesn’t ask questions but gets down like there’s no tomorrow ha you know? In an instant without saying a word I got up from the table and stormed out of the restaurant.
“Dammit Sindy!” I growled as I made my way to the car.

complication

Ando stood nervously as if his knees were about to buckle. He had been shoe checked. The veterans were hooping and hollering for his personal and hopefully dreadful rendition of "Baby Got Back." The female waitresses crowded around shoulder to shoulder like petit linemen of an all woman football team. A bead of sweat begins as a trickle on his brow as he said,
"I like big butts and I can not lie, you other brothers can't deny..." The girls shriek into laughter seeing the somewhat overweight hockey player dancing and shifting around on the floor. To Seth's surprise, Ando sang the whole verse without missing a beat and an extravagant roar of clapping and whistling welcomed him back off the stage into his seat.
